Ways to heat and serve Flippen Fried Pies.

If you are traveling, lay frozen fried pie flat on dash of vehicle for 30 minutes on a sunny day. If cloudy and cold place over defrost vent for 45 to 50 minutes.

From a frozen state, remove from bag, place flat on cookie sheet, into a preheated 350 degree oven. Cook for 7 to 8 min. If already thawed, heat for 4 to 5 min. This is the way we  recommend the pies be warmed up.

To microwave remove from bag, place on microwavable dish, heat for 30 seconds if frozen and 15 seconds if already thawed.

Place warm pie ,your choice of flavor, add 2 med. scoops of vanilla Ice Cream, then drizzle on the same flavor of Flippens homemade syrup over the pie and the ice cream. You can also use the syrup to decorate your serving plate.

We have a customer that takes the pie from the freezer, places the pie in the microwave for approx. 30 sec. then puts it in a 350 oven for 5 to 6 min. Remove from oven and frost with cream cheese frosting then place in frig. until frosting cools.

This would also look really neat with on of our syrups drizzled over the frosting.

Take the frozen precooked pie, dip in a very light thin cake batter and then deep fry until golden brown.  This recipe has been used on the chocolate pie but would work on any of the flavors.

There is also the old standard of heating the fried pie, by any method that you like best, and then melting 1 to 2 pats of butter on top of pie.
